Abstract

Adolescence is a key stage in the formation of socio-emotional skills, essential for the integral development of the student. This article presents a brief review of the role of the family in strengthening these skills in adolescents, with emphasis on their link with the educational environment. Through the analysis of literature published between 2019 and 2024, three relevant dimensions are identified: the impact of family climate on emotional self-regulation, the influence of intra-family communication on decision-making, and the effectiveness of school programs that promote collaboration between school and family. The studies reviewed agree that active family participation contributes significantly to the emotional well-being of adolescents and improves their school adaptation. It is concluded that joint work between family and school is key to promoting balanced socio-emotional development during secondary school.
