Abstract
Digital tools have evolved as societies advance, spreading their use in various applications, not only in social communication but in various aspects of life, such as the economy, politics, education, and industry. This paper presents a bibliographic review of incorporating digital tools in online university education, in the context of the social sciences. The main results show that developed countries are focused on maintaining quality online education, with significant investments that promote the effective use of technology, appropriate teacher training, and the infrastructure necessary for quality education. In contrast, less developed countries still require a broader vision of this integration.
